I have heard that it takes 10 “touches” (or, in other words, interactions or impressions) to seal a deal or to make a sale. Ten touches takes effort and can be difficult to achieve. With that said, one easy way to stay in front of clients or potential clients is to send a holiday card (especially, a holiday card with a short, personal handwritten note) and, with the holidays right around the corner, now is the time to start thinking about sending them. Plus, a holiday card is good way to generate a little goodwill and stay top-of-mind with a client or potential client without overtly making a pitch.
