Have you ever seen the movie, “For the Love of the Game,” with Kevin Costner? There is a scene in the movie where Kevin Costner, who plays a Detroit Tigers’ (my favorite team) pitcher, stands on the mound and gets ready to throw a pitch. The whole stadium is full of chaotic fans and constant cheers. Then, Kevin’s character leans in, gets in the zone, and all of the noise and cheers dissipate. All of the hecklers, nay-sayers, non-believers, etc. become white noise. A dull hum in the background. He is so focused on his task of throwing a pitch that nothing else matters.
Find your focus. The rest is just noise.
